Which are the medicinal properties of Reishi?

Red Reishi mushroom has been used in traditional Chinese medicine since ancient times, because of its high content and wide variety of bioactive molecules. The two main bioactive compounds can be broadly grouped into triterpenes and polysaccharides. In addition to these, G. lingzhi contain a wide variety of bioactive molecules such as triterpenoids, phenols, nucleotides and their derivatives, glycoproteins, minerals, among others.
